A selection of different coloured macaroons
A few updates and dates for your diary…

A Machine they’re Secretly Building – last dates for 2017
Thank you to all those who came and supported “A Machine…” while we were up at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We had fantastic audiences who stayed to chat more about surveillance and privacy and some excellent reviews…

“this smartly intelligent hour-long whizz through the world of surveillance, and the way governments legitimise spying on their citizens, makes you question what we mean by a terrorist and where the real threat lies… This is coolly reasoned theatre, produced by Proto-type Theater with stylish aplomb.” – Lyn Gardner, The Guardian

Thank you to Summerhall and the British Council for hosting us and to Amnesty International Scotland for considering the show for their freedom of Expression Award. Also, to the incredible community of artists, performers, producers and creatives that formed over the festival – we felt so welcome and supported, and saw so much astounding and beautiful work, THANK YOU!!

2017/18 Proto-type Mentorship Scheme
This year we are delighted to be supporting Ten29 Theatre Collective, an East Midlands performance company who are working to connect and share stories, experiences and voices from around the world. The collective was founded by Leicester De Montfort University Performing Arts students, Ross Thomson and Kirstie Johnston and we’re really glad that we can be involved in helping to develop their practice.
There is more about Ten29 on their website and you can find them on Twitter here.
